8/25/07 - SBD - Mr. Corta

This afternoon in SBD we started the class with normal stretching and then worked on basic techniques.

Some of those techniques included:

  • Low & high block
  • Center & high punch
  • Front, side, round, & back kicks
  • Yuk Soo Do
  • Kap kwon
  • chun gul, hu gul, kee ma, & sa ko rip jaseh
One of the nice things that Mr. Corta does is that he breaks the kicks down into 4 steps (set up kick, re-chamber, land). I love doing this because it works on leg strength and balance.

A few combos we did were
  • low block, reverse punch
  • high block, high punch
  • front kick, back kick, kap kwon, soo do
We ended class with 20 sit ups and 10 push ups.

After class I went down stairs and trained a little on my own.
I ran through all my forms, did 2 sets of 20 push ups, and 10 squats. I also did a few triangle drills.
